Job description

As the Credit and Risk Manager at Volvo Financial Services Baltics, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of underwriting quality while continuously advancing our practices. Your leadership will guide our credit and risk team in analyzing credit risk, utilizing models to understand default probabilities, and assessing historical and future risks within the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia).

  • Providing leadership to the credit and risk team, ensuring adherence to VFS and Volvo Group policies.
  • Monitoring and managing the credit portfolio, implementing measures based on identified trends.
  • Utilizing customer data to develop segmentation and mitigation strategies.
  • Conducting proactive credit monitoring and risk management at both customer and portfolio levels.
  • Preparing key management reports and supporting senior management with risk reporting needs.
  • Assessing complex credit applications and providing guidance on deal structure.
  • Supporting the development of new campaigns, products, and tools with credit risk input.
  • Driving continuous improvement in credit and risk processes.
  • Ensuring the competence and personal development of direct reports.
  • Fostering a fact-based, result-oriented team environment focused on customer 

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in credit and risk management, preferably in the financial services industry with exposure to commercial vehicles.
  • Experience working in international and multicultural environments.
  • Profound knowledge of credit and risk management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and performance management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced English proficiency.
