Currently we are looking for REGIONAL VAT EXPERT

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accurate preparation of VAT returns, taking full ownership of the preparation process for Baltic countries
• Responsible for the EC sales reporting in the Baltics
• Responsible for fully reconciling the VAT balance sheet accounts, investigating any differences, and preparing the necessary journals each month
• Monitor legislative changes in the Baltics and work with the VAT team on identifying the impact of these changes to the business including preparation of compliance
• Provide support to the Tax tech team on project work where required
• Provide advice and guidance to the business on VAT matters
• Help to set up of European wide plastic tax system (starting in Latvia)

Profile

• Bachelor/master’s in Finance or Tax with focus on Finance and/or Accounting
• 5 years of relevant experience (VAT area in Baltics)
• Good knowledge of VAT formalities and legislation in the Baltic countries
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and related procedures
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong communication skills, enthusiastic and flexible team player, with a desire to work with in an international team
• Results oriented and pro-active person with great sense of accuracy
• Excellent oral and written English language skills
• Excellent one of the Baltic language skills (Lithuanian, Latvian or Estonian)

Salary range

We offer salary from 2583 Eur to 3875 Eur/month gross (before taxes)
