Hybel.no is looking to bring onboard new developers seeking to play a role in transforming the real-estate rentals sector. Backed by Visma, one of the Nordics largest software companies, Hybel.no is one of Norways leading proptech scale-ups that is entirely focused on making renting simple, safe, and effective for tenants and landlords alike. Combining both a marketplace with over 110,000 managed adverts annually with over 750,000 registered users, and over 6000 landlords using our premium management platform, of which nearly 1500 are professional rental companies. 

As part of one of the Nordics largest software companies, Visma, Hybel.nos mission is to transform the real-estate rental sector by making renting accommodation simple, safe, and reliable for both tenants and landlords alike. Originally started as a marketplace for students to find accommodation, Hybel Premium launched in 2018 to provide necessary tools that build trust & safety in the rental space that tenants & landlords demand.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?

The main developer responsibilities at Hybel typically involve:

- Taking part in defining, building, and launching new platform features.

- Delivering high-quality, reliable, readable code through testing, reviews, and best practices.

- Contributing to technical discussions and decisions that push the platform forward.

- Evolving our working practices through continual evaluation and improvement.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT?

• You are developer with experience building successful online products & services, you possess a can-do attitude and desire to make your mark in scaling out an established service that thousands depend upon daily. 
• You want to be part of a team where your education & experience counts for something, and where you can argue when pragmatism trumps perfection, and quickly see the impact of your contribution.
• You will be familiar with the typical developer tools and practices such as git, code reviews, testing/QA, etc, while also having demonstrable experience with the technologies we use, specifically Python and Django.
  

TECHNOLGY STACK

• Python, Django, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Postgres, Redis, RabbitMQ, Celery, Docker and etc.

WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

Technological expertise

• We love our code clean. 🧽 We review each other's code on a regular basis (unit/integration testing, OOD principles and so much more).
• We constantly perfect our technological competence through events such as my developers days and cross-platform code reviews and so will You!
• Youll be working with the fields top-notch specialists and one of them will become your coach. 💪 Also here in Visma we have an international network of specialists within the organisation to build Your rep and skills even stronger.
• We have internal knowledge sharing sessions where we learn the newest trends in programming languages, QA, security, etc. 💻
• We also have our own library and anyone can order new books, as well as use online licences to various learning sites, get certifications, etc. 📖

Financial expectations

• Gross salary 2800-6300 EUR. 💸 Keep in mind that we are open to discuss your salary based on your competence and experience.
