Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced In-house Lawyer to join our dynamic team in Lithuania. In this role, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive legal support to our organization, navigating the complex regulatory landscape of the crypto sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal compliance, contract negotiation, and risk management within the cryptocurrency or fintech industry.
Requirements:
- Degree in Law from a recognized university; active membership in the Lithuanian Bar Association.
- At least 2 years of experience practicing law, preferably within the cryptocurrency or fintech industry.
- Strong knowledge of Lithuanian legal framework related to financial services, data protection, and securities regulations.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Mica Regulations required: familiarity with compliance requirements, reporting obligations and relevant legal standards.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory requirements impacting the cryptocurrency sector in Lithuania.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements, including but not limited to client contracts, vendor agreements, and partnership agreements.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal matters related to compliance, risk management, data protection, and intellectual property.
- Provision of legal advise on Mica regulations compliance, developing policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments;
- Representation of the Company in regulatory matters related to Mica regulations.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance with relevant laws and guidelines.
- Manage external legal counsel and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic legal initiatives.
The position is based in Vilnius, Lithuania, with the possibility of some remote work.
