We are a team of 4 software engineers working with 4 skilled quantitative analysts in a squad with members from our offices in Denmark, Lithuania, and India. We are an international team of mixed seniorities, and our departments working language is English.
We work closely with our sister-squad Core Engine Services in building and maintaining state of the art analytics services to service our users both on the trading floor as well as numerous calculation jobs servicing the entire bank.
Where our sister-squad is owning and maintaining the core analytics library written in C++, we are building highly available services in C# to make the functionality of the underlying library available to others. This gives us the opportunity to not only build high quality applications facing the users, but also affect how the underlying analytics library is being maintained.
We work in a fast-paced, agile environment in close collaboration with our business partners. We are deploying value adding software to production in a continuous and granular way using the latest tools available.
Our goal is to not only create additional value for the organization but also help you, as a specialist, grow. As the former specialist in this role joined another team within our organization and will proceed to share his expertise there, we are looking for a senior .NET engineer for the Core Analytics Services squad.
Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you a different seniority for the role.
You will:
- Build and maintain .NET services to make analytics functionality from our analytics library available to our users
- Extend our cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Take part in our journey to move the banks analytics services into public cloud
- Support new and existing services, making sure they are available and always delivering correct data
About you:
- A desire to understand the business – why we do what we do and what value our business and customers gain from the lines of code you write
- A keen eye for detail and an interest in working closely with our business partners
- You are not afraid to challenge experienced colleagues in business or IT
- Advanced .NET coding abilities
- A good understanding of how to build robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions
- A practical approach towards automated testing
- Knowledge of containers (Docker/Openshift/Kubernetes) and SQL databases is considered as a bonus
- Understanding of the financial sector is considered as a bonus
- Advanced English language skills

Consider us as “the engine of the bank” – while we do not provide banking services to customers in Lithuania, we are the brain and muscle behind many of Danske Bank’s services to our global customers. Our high-quality delivery and can-do approach led us to becoming a strategic site for Danske Bank, an international community of 22,000+ colleagues worldwide.
Danske Bank Lithuania is Danske Bank’s strategic unit, providing finance, IT and global business services to serve our customers worldwide. We are on a journey to push the banking boundaries and make constant improvements in how we operate. We aim to do this by combining the best of two worlds: the strengths of what Danske Bank has built over 150 years and the approach of start-ups to what we are going to create in the future.
We see diversity as our potential, and the cornerstone of our company’s success, that will ensure our continued competitiveness and innovative strength.
We try to create an inclusive workplace where differences are our strengths and where people feel valued and can realise their full capabilities.
Because of that, the critical focus point for us is to be able to recruit, develop and retain employees without attaching any specific labels to them.
