Requirements for candidates
Requirements and qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CMA or equivalent certification preferred.
· Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of [3] years of experience in accounting and financial management in Agricultural or Manufacturing Industry.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
· Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
· Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
· Very good command of MS Office (Excel, Word; Power BI is advantageous) and accounting software
· Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with large volumes of data and documents;
Up-to-date with latest financial regulations and compliance, including country specific ones
Job description
Duties and responsibilities:
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
· Implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation, reconciliation, and analysis.
· Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning.
· Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
· Monitor cash flow and financial performance metrics.
· Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions and initiatives.
· Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in financial management processes.
Drawing up budgets and monitoring their implementation, and suggesting necessary amendments and modifications;
