What you'll do as a Data Engineer:
Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid role based in Vilnius, Lithuania, requiring the candidate to work on-site two days a week, typically Wednesdays and Thursdays, or occasionally Tuesdays.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, supporting and enabling key business processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Extracting data from multiple sources, including sales, inventory, product, and customer databases, to create integrated views that drive decision-making.
- Collaborating on the development of new features for large and complex SQL databases.
- Working as part of a team to define and develop requested business intelligence insights.
- Collaborating with a team to synthesize business intelligence data to generate both standard and custom reports.
- Maintaining and updating documentation of knowledge assets, such as models, business rules, technical specifications (data mapping, data flows, dashboard content, data dictionaries).
- Reviewing dataset rules to ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Demonstrating fluency in both written and verbal English.
Essential Criteria:
To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and capabilities:
- Proficient organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize and self-manage projects and time effectively.
- Experience in developing and maintaining automated ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) procedures.
- Proficiency in designing and preparing regular and ad-hoc dashboards and reports.
- Expertise in extracting, analyzing, and manipulating large datasets.
- Understanding of Data Warehouse technologies and strong data engineering capabilities.
- The ability to translate business questions into data requirements and actionable business intelligence.
- A Bachelors Degree is required, preferably in Accounting, Business, Finance, Computer Science, IT, or Math. Alternatively, 5 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- A minimum of two (2) year of professional or educational/internship experience in data analysis and data modeling is required.

- DAX
- Git (code versioning)
Databases and query writing:
- MS SQL (main)
- BigQuery (non-essential)
Desirable Criteria:
Additional qualifications and characteristics that would be advantageous include:
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
- A positive outlook and productive work style, even in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with performance improvement initiatives and/or Agile methodologies is preferred.

Additional information: €48,000 - €51,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
