Our Intern opportunities that will afford you the opportunity to make a big impact every day by gaining A-Z experience and be integrally involved in all aspects of the services that we deliver to our clients.

•   Reviewing subscription agreements and KYC documents for the existing clients;

•   Request and follow up on KYC missing information with the Engagement team and the client;

•   Maintaining up to date KYC information in the clients/UBOs database and in the electronic document management system (EDMS);

•   The ongoing performance of the ongoing Client KYC monitoring tasks;

•   Assist in ongoing monitoring of the existing client relationship for both SPVs and Funds;

•   Review of client acceptance files, identify, assess and mitigate compliance risks;

•   Perform KYC Monitoring checks on a daily basis and act as 1st Line of Defence;

•   Follow up of the outstanding documentation of the client files;

•   Assist in collecting figures/statistics to support local Compliance team;

•   Assist in completing compliance risk assessments;

•   Assist in the performance of the Compliance monitoring programme;

•   Contribute to the development of a Compliance framework and culture;

•   Working effectively with key stakeholders to ensure the mutually satisfactory resolution of any key issues;

•   Assisting in the development of training materials.

- Taking care of the day-to-day operations of the funds and following up with third parties, including investors and fund managers;

- Undergoing dynamic and interactive onboarding & training program designed to quickly and effectively give new joiners the industry skills and contexts needed;

- Taking part in the setup of funds, and implementing complex international real estate, private equity, fund of funds or debt structures as part of restructuring plans, mergers and acquisitions;

- Preparing the funds periodic Net Asset Value calculation and year-end financial statements, management of the audit, and reviewing other fund related reports;

- Preparing tax returns and tax balances and maintaining relevant contacts with the tax authorities.

Alter Domus teams operate on a full service rather than a functionalized model; interns will get visibility of the complete spectrum of fund services and corporate services that we provide. Our end-to-end delivery teams are built around the following principles:

- Expertise per sub-asset class: All teams specialize in a given asset class (Private Equity, Real Estate, Debt, Fund Of Funds).

- End-to-end processing by an integrated team of generalists with full knowledge and control over the full process rather than functionalization of the teams.

- Expert Pools support the delivery teams on specific topics: Consolidation, Liquidations, Tax Compliance, Transfer Pricing, Investor Customer Due Diligence (CDD).

As Legal Intern you will:

- Gain knowledge in our clients industries and asset classes (Private Equity, Real Estate, Debt, Fund Of Funds).

- Have an opportunity to experience the day-to-day of a Legal and Corporate Governance department.

- Learn about the legal systems and corporate governance rules of the various jurisdictions you will work on.

- You are studying towards an undergraduate degree (or above) in areas such as Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics (3rd or last year student)

- You have an interest in the alternative investment industry;

- You have strong communication and collaboration skills, you prioritize teamwork, reliability and being organized and you take the initiative to solve problems and generate results;

- You are fluent in English.
