The role

The Moody's Cybersecurity team is dedicated to aligning policies and procedures with business requirements to balance risk effectively. We set strategic direction for security and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a secure environment. Join us in protecting Moody's from cyber threats and advancing our security capabilities.

  • Support the Red Team Lead with day-to-day operations and strategy.
  • Perform technical security testing and communicate findings to senior management.
  • Keep abreast of the current cyber threat landscape; produce regular situational awareness digests for the organization, propose changes or enhancements to our security posture where appropriate.
  •  Build and maintain offensive security infrastructure for testing.
  • Assist in planning and executing penetration testing and red team engagements.
  • Help coordinate Purple Team exercises between Blue Team and Red Team.
  • Contribute to the operationalization of Threat Intelligence and Breach and Attack Simulation platform.
  • Assist the Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) in responding to cyber incidents as required.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications such as SANS, Offensive Security, or equivalent are considered a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working experience in a related cyber security role.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, Windows and Linux operating systems, Red Team and Penetration testing methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP (particularly VM and Networking management) for maintaining Red Team operational and testing infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, Perl, PowerShell) for tooling development.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, build lasting relationships, and present complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong understanding of operating system, software, and web application vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques.
