Financial Crime Prevention is a high priority in Danske Bank, so we are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst in the Continuous Development Unit in Customer Screening Area who wants to take a significant role in an area that is gaining global prominence among financial institutions and society in general.
In this role, you will have direct responsibility for Sanctions and Politically Exposed Person (PEP) screening engine configuration management, optimization, and outgoing improvements implementation. In addition, you will support the current screening model with systemic and ad-hoc based solutions.

You will join a team of 9 Business Intelligence Analyst and a Team Lead who are playing a major role in driving Sanctions and PEP Screening related initiatives.
You are a results-oriented person with a positive, proactive attitude who is self-motivated, able to identify problems, and willing to support the team.
You will:
- Be responsible for Customers Sanctions and PEP Screening engine management and optimization, ensuring effective and efficient standards across ecosystem. It will involve usage of specific software linked to screening engine
- Use data insights to identify and propose new solutions that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of screening processes and controls: data extraction, preparation, analysis, and reporting
- Have an integral role in investigating the performance of the screening technology platforms and associated processes. Resolve various issues while understating the impacts on processes and systems
- Be responsible for defining business requirements, performing operational impact assessments, and providing optimizations for the various solutions that are developed to support these processes
- Conduct various testing activities, such as scenario adjustment, data preparation, analysis of output, etc.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the organization while conducting analysis, reporting results with insights and recommendations
- Take initiative in shaping wider agendas and making decisions on your own when needed
About you:
- Hands-on experience in data analytics with SQL to access key data points and draw useful insights. Expertise in big data manipulation, transformation, and analysis with Python would be beneficial
- A willingness to learn and become an expert in specific software related to the screening engine is expected
- Process improvement, configuration, analytical skills, accompanied by ability to work effectively to resolve discrepancies, defects and incidents. It should be accompanied by process and output documentation habits
- Ability to solve problems with an understanding of the process and system impacts. This entails being self-driven, capable of identifying issues, and willing to support the team
- Robust workflow management skills to ensure efficiency, replicability, and accuracy of the output, as well as adequate documentation of the process
- The work demands that you can navigate in a large organization with several stakeholders. The ability to create positive relations is instrumental to achieving goals in this job
- 1 year of experience working in compliance, AML, or banking field would be considered a pro
- The ability to improve or automate the teams processes and reporting tasks would be a positive aspect
- Intermediate English skills
We offer
Monthly salary range from 2800 EUR to 4200 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
