Job description
We are looking for a Senior Data Science Specialist with strong data engineering skills and hands-on experience in LLMs, machine learning, OCR, and image recognition. This role is ideal for a technically skilled expert passionate about applying advanced technologies to drive automation and process optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for automation, digitalization, and process optimization through the application of LLMs, ML, OCR, and computer vision technologies.
- Act as a technical leader in client engagements, building trust through clear communication, transparency, and delivery excellence.
- Design and implement end-to-end data science solutions tailored to business challenges in logistics, manufacturing, and finance domains.
- Develop forecasting models and advanced analytics to drive business insights and resource optimization.
- Shape solution architecture, estimate implementation efforts, and define development roadmaps in collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Leverage cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) to deploy, monitor, and maintain machine learning services and AI workflows.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines for collecting, processing, and transforming structured and unstructured data into usable formats.
- Lead technical delivery efforts across multiple phases of the project lifecycle, while actively contributing hands-on to core development activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level team members, fostering growth and technical excellence within the team.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in model versioning, performance monitoring, data quality, and governance standards.
- Research emerging technologies and AI/ML approaches to explore opportunities for innovation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and AI solution development
- A university degree in a STEM-related field
- Proven track record of delivering machine learning solutions in production, preferably in logistics, manufacturing, or finance sectors.
- Strong proficiency in Python and data science libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers).
- Solid SQL skills and experience working with analytical databases.
- Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including fine-tuning and integration (e.g., GPT, Claude, LLaMA).
- Practical experience with OCR technologies and image recognition workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS), Docker, and CI/CD environments.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, unafraid to propose ideas and take ownership in exploring them.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to grow through diverse project challenges.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
