Our client - Fjord Bank - a new-generation, fully digital challenger bank with Nordic roots and a startup mindset. They focus on consumer finance and savings products, building a cost-effective and flexible business model powered by technology and automation. Fjord Bank is now searching for a Data Warehouse Lead in their Vilnius headquarters.

They are looking for an experienced and hands-on DWH Lead to take full ownership of our cloud-based data infrastructure. In this role, you'll design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines in AWS, working closely with business stakeholders to drive automation, ensure data quality, and enhance data usability across the organization. The role is reporting to Chief Technology Officer.

Key responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and workflows in the AWS cloud environment.
Own and evolve the data warehouse architecture to ensure performance, scalability and reliability.
Work with SQL (across Spark, Presto, and MSSQL dialects) to query and manipulate data effectively.
Use PySpark for distributed data processing and Python for automation, scripting, and data handling outside Spark.
Implement orchestration using AWS Step Functions and AWS Workflows to automate and manage data processes.
Define and maintain data models, ensure consistent and accurate data transformations and alignment across ETL workflows.
Manage and improve data integration workflows, including those using REST APIs.
Gather and clarify business requirements, translating them into scalable and maintainable data solutions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in data warehousing and ETL pipeline development.
Strong proficiency in SQL (Spark, Presto, MSSQL).
Solid experience in PySpark and Phyton for data processing and automation.
Experience working with AWS services, such as Glue, Lambda, Athena, Lake Formation, Workflows, and Step Functions - or similar services from other cloud providers.
Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts including storage, processing, modeling, data quality, and governance.
Familiarity with REST API-based data integration.
Basic understanding of AI concepts and their practical applications in data warehousing.
Excellent communication skills, and ability to gather and refine business requirements.
Ability to manage stress, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Proactive, result oriented and hands-on approach.
Ability to work independently and as well as collaboratively within a team.
Fluency in Lithuanian and English both written and spoken.

Nice to have:

Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight).
Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Comfort with basic Bash scripting for simple system-level tasks.
Experience in regulated industries such as banking or finance.
Interest and experience in the use of AI.

Salary: 3200-3800 eur/m net. Final salary agreement depends on each candidate's experience, skills and competencies.
