VIS is recruiting a full or part-time High Math Teaching Assistant for short-term for the remainder of the school year and from August 2024

Requirements and responsabilities

BA in mathematics or related field

Experience working with young adults and teenagers.

English language equivalent C1 (specifically as related to the subject material)

An ideal candidate would have experience in a Cambridge International mathematics curriculum, although this is not a pre-requisite.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting classroom instruction: Assist math teacher in a co-teaching capacity in differentiated or personalizing instruction aligned with IB MYP and Cambridge International AS/A Level Maths.
Provide individualized support: Offer one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance or enrichment in mathematics. in mathematics.
Assessment and Feedback: Assist in the assessment of student learning, as directed by the classroom teacher, through grading assignments, quizzes, and exams. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress.
Support and Supervise: Provide ongoing check-ins with students studying in an alternative online mathematics course offered to students who are not enrolled in AS/A Level mathematics.
Extention and Special events: Support students in enroling and preparing for Olympiads and other math and tech related co-curricular activities.
