To augment our Enterprise Automation European Delivery team, we are looking for a senior software engineer to work with an AI product team to integrate the OCR Engine. A successful candidate will bring experience in C/C++ and Objective C and experience developing cross-platform desktop applications/libraries. Prior experience in Abbyy Fine Reader OCR SDK is a must to have. Abby OCR experience on Mobile / Desktop /Tabs screens is the specific ask.

• Extend the existing OCR Integrated (Abbyy Fine Reader) solutions with new languages.

• Work with language experts in integrating new dictionaries into the OCR.

• Collaborate with the product team in building, testing, and releasing the new language-integrated version of the product.

• Work in adherence to organizations architectural direction and guidelines (in line with IT organizations practices) including security management, infrastructure, application layer interfacing approach, solution performance standards.

• Understand and mitigate any associated technical risk early in the solutioning.

• Leverage engineering best practices such as reuse of organization level technical assets, quality standards and procedures,

• Support issue resolution that arise in day to day work.

• Being able to accurately estimate time required for associated development efforts.

• Incorporate rigorous unit testing practices into the development process.

• Team management, coordination of best practices, team growth. 

• Must have 2+ years of experience with OCR products. 

• Must have experience with Abbyy Fine Reader.

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.

• Experience of working within an agile, continuous integration environment.

• Effective communications skills: oral, written and listening in English.
