We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Offshore Development Office of the Ignitis Renewables team, where youll be supporting the Transmission package in all activities related to the mechanical and auxiliary systems design, certification and procurement of the land substation for an offshore wind project in the Lithuanian Baltic Sea. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Developing project specifications, requirements, and tender documents
- Participating in bid preparation, including cost estimation and technical proposal development
- Collaborating with the project team to understand developer requirements and constraints
- Revisioning design for the offshore substation mechanical and Auxiliary systems ensuring employer requirements fulfilment and other mandatory regulations
- Collaborating with other engineering disciplines (electrical, structural, etc.) to integrate subsystem designs into the overall structure
- Proposing solutions to design issues and make modifications as necessary based on feedback from stakeholders and regulatory authorities
- Resolving technical queries and coordinating fabrication contractors
- Ensuring risks are addressed / reported, mitigation actions determined, and risks are minimized or closed out
- Acting as the focal point within the Transmission Team for all the technical interfaces (regarding mechanical and Auxiliary systems) with the LSS designer and external consulting companies.
Required for this position:
- University degree (mechanical or industrial engineering, or similar)
- Proven work experience in LSS design and construction (up to 330kV or above)
- Proven track record for the position of (Senior) Mechanical engineer in transmission system and/or renewable energy project, including the detail design and manufacturing phase
- Comprehensive understanding of various aspects related to HV substation construction, mechanical engineering principles, and industry standards
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations and design requirements to ensure compliance with LSS engineering practice and related safety regulations
- Strong understanding of the technical and organizational processes for large infrastructure projects
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Experience in leading and working with multi-disciplinary and intercultural project teams
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
