Accounting Lithuania is a unit in Vilnius that belongs to the Swedish Finance Division (Swedbank AB Group Finance). We are a constantly evolving and systematically improving our activities with a team of professionals. As we continue to grow, were seeking a talented Accounts Payables Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our ongoing success.
As an Accounts Payables Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions and correct input VAT allocation.
Key responsibilities:- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Verify and reconcile invoices, resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Correct input VAT allocation, monitoring of input VAT deduction rules and control.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the accounts payable function.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting role.
- Knowledge of Lithuania VAT law requirements and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in English, both in writing and verbally (at the B2 level or above).
- Fluent communication in Lithuanian.
- Excellent MS Excel skills, with the ability to practically apply MS Excel functions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
