Job description
Our Azure cloud infrastructure is the backbone of our business operations serving 6000 employees and close to 1 million customers across 13 countries. Slow performance might convince a customer to go elsewhere, and an unavailable application may cost a fortune in lost business, which is why we consider it our key priority to stop it from happening. Your input can make that difference!
Responsibilities:
- Be the key contact for operations of our Azure cloud infrastructure
- Monitor the operations of our cloud services and Azure Virtual Desktop landscape to ensure stability & performance
- Resolve incidents and seek involvement of internal & external stakeholders where needed
- Plan and execute upgrades and patches
- Develop means to increase the degree of automation in cloud operations
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that our cloud landscape remains in line with Cybersecurity & Governance requirements
- Participate in activities and projects to improve cloud integration and to become more cloud-native
Requirements
- Academic degree in Computer science (or comparable), alternatively comparable and extensive industry experience (f.e. in IT infrastructure)
- In-depth experience in IT infrastructure and Windows server/client administration & operations
- Experience in operating MS SQL server on VM and Azure SQL managed instance
- Good understanding of Azure cloud architecture & administration, especially Azure Virtual Desktop
- Experience in project management
- Strong communications skills and customer orientation
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
