What we are looking for

We are looking for a Security Operations Manager to join our Group Information Security team. This position will be a vital leader responsible for designing and implementing standard operating procedures for threat remediation with the support of our third-party SOC monitoring. As the team leader, the applicant will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a framework for incident triage, incident response, security monitoring & reporting, and supporting security projects in collaboration with other internal teams and vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the security teams daily operations including task management, escalations, vulnerability management, and remediation tracking.
Managing timely responses to security incidents and requests.
Develop and document standard operating procedures for common tasks.
Establish and oversee security incident response procedures.
Implement and manage security monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Enforce security policies and procedures to protect the organizations assets and data.
Assist with assurance inspections & governance tasks performed by the Information Security team.
Work directly with Managed Service Providers to document escalation and remediation procedures as well as regularly monitor Service Level Agreements.
Evaluate security tools such as antimalware, EDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM, WAF, and PAM solutions and oversee their implementation and maintenance.
Oversee the training of Security Analysts and Officers.
Develop operational KPI reports used to drive more effective processes.
Provide regular updates and reports to management.

Your profile

QUALIFICATIONS

5-8 years of experience in the security industry.
2 years of managing a team focused on detecting, troubleshooting, and mitigating threats.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with crisis or incident management.
Strong understanding of IT processes and controls such as access management, change management, and IT operations.
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
