As the Financial Controller HT Business Unit you will be responsible for ensuring financial control and governance within their respective business unit. They maintain the integrity of the financial data and provide financial leadership, manage financial risks, ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while contributing to financial strategy development at BU level that aligns with organizational objectives. 
 
The Financial Controller HT Business Unit is also responsible for working with Finance Director of the BU in creating financial strategies that align with the Company's wider objectives, performing risk management, budgeting, auditing, and other financial duties. They play a key role in supporting business decisions by working with Country Controllers to provide detailed financial insights at a BU level and are expected to drive financial efficiency and effectiveness across the organization's operations within the BU. 
 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Implement a monthly training program within the Business Unit (BU) to enhance employees' understanding of financial metrics, ensuring all team members can interpret financial reports and apply financial principles to daily operations. 
  • Work directly with BU Leadership and the Finance team to create a financial strategy roadmap, conducting quarterly reviews to ensure alignment with the BU's strategic goals and adjusting plans to reflect changes in corporate objectives. 
  • Develop and enforce a checklist-based compliance system to oversee the BUs corporate accounting and financial reporting, ensuring adherence to corporate, local, and regional regulations through semi-annual internal audits. 
  • Conduct bi-annual risk assessments to identify potential financial and business risks within the BU, and design specific mitigation strategies that include setting up real-time monitoring controls and contingency plans. 
  • Establish a weekly data review process to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reports, and use advanced analytics tools to generate and present detailed financial dashboards and KPIs for strategic decision-making. 
  • Implement a structured development plan for each team member, including quarterly technical skills workshops and bi-annual performance reviews, ensuring consistent performance management and continuous skill enhancement. 
 

Requirements for the role: 

  • Prior experience in controllership, financial management, and financial reporting. 
  • Possess a university degree or equivalent, with an accounting qualification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA. 
  • Understanding of industry and market dynamics, and ability to align financial activities with organizational goals. 
  • Adapt to changing objectives and priorities to deliver results, work independently under stress and pressure, and be target and result-driven with a hands-on approach. 
  • Proficiency in using analytic tools such as Power BI and SAP Analytics in the Cloud is desirable, along with the ability to identify and diagnose efficiency opportunities.

Salary: 50 500 72 000 EUR (Brutto)
