Nasdaq is looking for a Senior Business Analyst with a background in finance and curiosity about IT to join our Central Securities Depository (CSD) product team. The team is responsible for our CSD solution, which provides infrastructure to CSDs around the world, including custody, settlement, corporate actions, and other functions, as a standalone product or integrated with other clearing solutions.
As a Business Analyst, you will work closely in a team with other Business Analysts, Software Developers, and QA Engineers to build solutions for our clients, working with groundbreaking technologies in an international environment.
As a Business Analyst, you will be a subject matter expert and should have knowledge of CCP and/or CSD operations and the full transaction lifecycle. In this role, you will act as the interface between the clients and the IT organization by translating business processes and needs into detailed functional requirements with minimal adaptations.
Additionally, you will ensure that the team of developers and testers has a clear understanding of the clients requirements. This role is based in Vilnius but may involve international travel to our other offices and clients.
The role & responsibilities:
- Elicit detailed business and system requirements from business owners and stakeholders
- Design functional solutions for clients and document requirements
- Support the development and QA teams in implementing product requirements
- Work with replacing and upgrading infrastructure so it is in line with international standards
- Provide input into the project schedule, risks, scope of work, and budget
- Write operational and user documentation including release notes. Ensure operational and user documentation is accurate and complete
- Provide user training on new functionality and handle user queries regarding system functionality
- Support, partner with, and at times challenge clients to identify new ways of doing things to adapt to our core solutions
- Demo the product to internal and external stakeholders
Who you are:
- You should have a degree in Computer Science, Business/Finance, or a related field
- Some years of experience as a BA or in a similar client-facing role
- You are driven, and curious, and value continuous learning
- You have the ability to take initiative and ownership, while also collaborating with others
- You are confident in managing multiple clients and stakeholders
- You have strong analytical skills and can document, and present business processes and flows
- You have strong English language skills- additional languages are a plus
- Experience working with agile methodologies is preferable
- Some traveling to customer sites in different parts of the world may be required
