Cognizant European Payroll team is looking for an experienced person to join the team as a Payroll Expert. In this role an associate is expected to report to the Lithuanian Payroll Manager, provide detail-level payroll administration and payroll processing as part of the European Payroll team focusing on Lithuanian Region.

You can expect to:

• Consolidate payroll data from various sources

• Submit payroll data to external service providers or internal payroll system

• Review calculations & work with provider on any necessary adjustments

• Generate gross to net, & net pay reports

• Arrange net payments to associates

• Discharge any other payroll associated liabilities (taxes, social contributions, insurances, pensions)

• Comply with Audits

• Maintain relevant Country payroll knowledge

• Keep key business partners up to date with any legislation changes for the local region

• Review, code & upload invoices for approval / payment

• Build & maintain strong working relationships with KBP (ie.HR, Finance, Stock Admin, Tax, Internal audit)

• Handle questions from employees regarding payroll

• Do ad hoc duties and special projects as requested by management

We expect You to:

• Have relevant experience in a similar position / industry (ideally 5 years)

• Have knowledge of local Social Security, taxes and employment legislation

• Have excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills (Power Point and Access skills would be a plus)

• Have good command of English and Lithuanian both written and verbal

• Having HR experience and knowledge of Vikarina, People Soft or other ERP systems would be considered as an advantage

• Have an ability to work under pressure and to meet constant deadlines

• Have good communication skills and be a team player

• Have good organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail and accuracy

• Have a proactive approach to work to constantly improve internal processes

• Have a can do attitude and be energetic, self-starter, initiative and service oriented personality
