As the Lead of the Security Operations Center (SOC) at Danske Bank, you will be responsible for critical function providing 24/7 cyber security threat monitoring and response capabilities for the bank. This role includes end-to-end Cyber Defense and Threat Response service ownership. You will direct all efforts towards safeguarding our digital environment through vigilant monitoring, threat detection, and rapid response to IT security incidents. As a service owner, youll engage in setting effective service levels, identifying evolving threats and ensuring that your teams efforts align with the broader business goals and regulatory requirements.
You will be part of Security Resilience and Controls organization led by the Chief Security Officer.
This position offers the chance to lead an essential arm of the banks operations, directly impacting security posture of our IT environment. You will:
- Lead SOCs 24/7 operations, ensuring operational excellence and continuous service improvements
- Develop, implement, and maintain efficient and effective IT security processes and operational guidelines
- Lead, recruit, and mentor a diverse team of IT security professionals, emphasizing both personal growth and team effectiveness
- Manage incident response in coordination with the IT Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) to promptly and efficiently address IT security issues
- Routinely prepare and distribute reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to key stakeholders
- Integrate regular communications with executive management, providing updates on risks, achievements, and developments
- Drive innovation within SOC processes and automation to prioritize critical tasks
- Manage external vendor relationships crucial to enhancing IT security measures
- Own end-to-end service, including but not limited to financial planning, setting strategic direction, etc.
About you:
- Armed with experience in IT Security (incident responder experience would be a benefit) and People Management (level of experience can vary and will be reflected in the potential offer)
- Extensive background in IT security, including mastery over tools such as SIEM systems, IDS/IPS, and other security monitoring technologies
- Ideally proven leadership of varied IT security teams and knack for thriving under pressure and achieving team targets
- Proficient in managing IT security incidents, performing threat analysis, and integrating security operations with business objectives
- Skilled in managing stakeholders, advocating for IT security advancements and strategic decisions across all business levels
- Advanced interpersonal and communication abilities, adept in conflict resolution, staff training, and high-stakes negotiation
- A can-do attitude, solid sense of ownership and growth mindset for oneself and others
- Forward-thinking and problem-solving attitude, continuously seeking out new ways to improve organizations security posture
- Professional certifications like GSOM, CISM, CISSP, or CRISC (would be a bonus)
- Advanced English skills
We offer
Monthly salary range from 5520 EUR to 8280 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
