As a Data Engineer, you will join the Credit Model and Data Reporting squad within the Risk Tribe, where you will use your technical skills to design and build data solutions. This squad is responsible for developing and operating monitoring solutions for data quality and IRB model performance. You will have an opportunity to work on the entire process – from setting up data flows, developing monitoring metrics, to implementing robust governance frameworks that ensure compliance and enhance accountability. While working on innovative solutions to business problems, you will also have the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of Danske Banks business model.
Additionally, you will be part of the Data Engineers chapter, a community of highly skilled engineers who share your passion for data and technology. The chapter promotes continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and ensures best practices are spread across the tribe and organisation.
You will:
- Design, develop, optimise, and deploy comprehensive data solutions, with a strong focus on ETL processes
- Gain deep insights into the extraction, transformation, and loading of data for business intelligence applications, understanding its impact on IRB modelling and overall risk management
- Lead efforts to optimise and automate existing data flows and processes, enhancing efficiency and reliability
- Collaborate with fellow Data Engineers in the chapter to create a robust, reliable, and easily accessible risk data repository
- Provide expert consultation to engineers, data scientists, and analysts across the bank regarding risk data-related issues
- Actively participate in an agile organisation, advising on transformation initiatives that refine and advance Risk management practices within the bank
About you:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a relevant role, with a solid understanding of ETL processes and data modelling
- Extensive hands-on experience with SQL, including T-SQL/PL-SQL
- Intermediate proficiency in Python/PySpark for data engineering tasks
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies, preferably AWS, and experience with infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD is a plus
- Ability to see the broader picture while effectively understanding detailed data usage, dependencies, and relationships
- Advanced English skills in written and verbal communication, with the ability to clearly explain IT concepts to non-technical colleagues
- Preferred academic background in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or Mathematics
- Genuine interest in the risk area
We offer
Monthly salary range from 3440 EUR to 5160 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
