As a Senior Specialist, Subpoena you will operate within the Litigation department, which is a part of the General Counsel Office.  Every year, Western Union receives thousands of subpoenas and other compulsory requests for transaction data and other information.  Timely and accurate fulfillment of subpoenas is one of our many legal obligations. You will be receiving, reviewing, and responding to subpoenas served on Western Union and its subsidiaries from law enforcement agencies.  You will assist with the subpoena email inbox by directing requests to specific country folders, replying to follow-up questions, escalations, and inquiries. You will fulfill the most complex, high-priority subpoenas and proof of payment (POP) requests. In addition, you will follow up on Quality Assurance corrections and provide additional training for repeat errors.  You will be crossed trained and serve as a backup to other processes within the team.

Using your reporting skills, you will create various metrics and regulatory reports. Moreover, you will provide training and cross-training to new hires and existing employees making sure they are well prepared to work independently.

We expect you to have some financial service industry experience and be fluent in English (both verbal and written), an additional foreign language is a plus, though not a requirement. We will ask for a high degree of professionalism and discretion when working with confidential and sensitive matters. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and the ability to navigate a computerized data entry system is essential. Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Macro would make you stand out. Strong time management skills and attention to detail are highly appreciated. Also, you are positive, can work under pressure, and possess the ability to make decisions independently.

You should be able to prepare presentations and be comfortable with public speaking. Ideally, we need you to have a knowledge of legal, compliance, and internal security.

Annual base salary gross:  15 510 – 27 386 EUR

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies.  The salary is one component of Western Union's total compensation package for employees.
