You will be responsible for empowering a diverse professional team of 4-6 accounting professionals, prepare standalone financial statements and regulatory filings according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You will be accountable for the regular monthly routine processes and controls: journal entries revision, trial balance analytical review, analysis of complex balance sheet accounts in accordance with GAAP and Western Union accounting policies, etc. Also, you will work with business partners to analyze and resolve financial reporting issues, cooperate with auditors, tax advisors and regulators, provide leadership in initiating and implementing process improvements. The Lean spirit and energy to fit for growth are the traits that we are looking for in the candidate for this position.
For this role, we require you to have a degree in Finance, Economics or a similar field and have 4-6 years of experience in accounting. You'll have a good understanding of what impacts financial statements and understand how it links with accounting, tax, treasury, and other parts of business. We need you to have a blend of being analytically minded as well as customer focused. If you have the desire and ability to take a strong leadership role and can influence actions to create real change then this could be the perfect role. Previous experience with Lean methodology would be an advantage.

The annual gross base salary range is 25,057 – 48,887 EUR. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the Western Union total compensation package, which includes short-term incentives, multiple health insurance options, accident and life insurance, and access to best-in-class development platforms, to name a few!
