Regulatory Science Specialist / Manager Baltic countries

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate regulatory activities by following effectively the local Regulatory Science and Compliance activities in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia;
• Represent BCS in front of manifold local external stakeholders (e.g. regulatory authorities, industry associations);
• Ensure preparation, filing and defense of regulatory applications according to the agreed project plans as well as to provide update on the progresses. Actively contribute to outreach for policy, risk assessment and scientific matters;
• Ensure regulatory compliance throughout the life cycle of Bayer’s products by taking role in stewardship activities on a project/need basis. Keep abreast with legislative changes;
• Provide all information required for the legal compliance (e.g. for labels) for the products under his/her responsibility;
• Represent Bayer regulatory department in advisory and implementation interactions with other Baltics CropScience departments (development, marketing, sales, logistic etc.);
• Maintain awareness of the critical issues for the assigned products and keep the business informed as required.

Requirements:

• University degree in plant science, agriculture, biological sciences, chemistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine or similar;
• Basic level of knowledge of relevant regulations and requirements for submission of registration applications and other regulatory dossiers;
• Basic level of knowledge and understanding in agronomic industry business and competitive landscape;
• Being able to operate with minimum oversight from management;
• Function to accomplish pre-determined tasks;
• Well-organized, able to work with deadlines;
• Eye for detail and for the big picture;
• Strong IT (data management) skills;
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Lithuanian.
