Lead IT Technical Specialist

We are looking for Lead IT Technical Specialist in Enterprise Workplace team, in Telia Global Services Lithuania, Vilnius.

Your next challenge?

As a member of my team in our new open-space offices in Vilnius, you will be supporting our internal customers that are using technical solutions and services provided by our team. You will be involved in decision making, take part in strategy formation of Workplace Endpoint services (Win10 build, SCCM, Intune) in Telia. You will participate in projects within this area, where you will have an opportunity to positively impact user experience and stability of our infrastructure. In the core of these deliverables and technologies will be your stakeholders and the team, whom you will work closely together with. 

Our Endpoint team in Vilnius is exploring and safeguarding the services behind the newest technological solutions and you will be a part of it, driving Workplace Endpoint product group (Win10, SCCM, Citrix, Mac) to its maximum potential.

Your responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Windows build automation

• Develop and maintain Windows 10 as a Service

• Prepare, test, and release new Windows builds and driver packages for different hardware models

• Provide guidance and recommendation for user and machine Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and implement new ones

• Work closely with Application teams to test and approve new software being added to the builds

• Collaborate with Security teams to follow security policies and to implement new security settings in our computing fleet

• Troubleshoot complex application issues within the end user environment

• Closely partner with peers to ensure colleague experience and service design best practices are delivered across the plan/build/run/refresh/retire lifecycle

• Provide input and/or direct teammates handling critical incidents, outages, and root cause analysis

• Recommend areas where existing policies and procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed

• Create supporting documentation for various audiences

Your experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing Windows Desktops.

• Proven experience working in distributed environment of at least couple of thousand workstations

• Strong technical knowledge of the following products and services: Windows platforms, MECM (SCCM), WSUS, MDT/OSD, Intune, Group Policy/Active Directory. Certifications in those areas is a plus

• Knowledge in all aspects of application and workstation management using MECM (SCCM), including building task sequences, driver packages and other deployments

• Familiarity with O365 deployment methods

• Exposure to scripting/programming languages, preferably Powershell and/or VBScript

• Knowledge in networking technologies

• Process oriented and can document work processes and workflows

• Strong ability to identify issues in the environment and can efficiently communicate the issues with colleagues and upper management

• Basic knowledge of Agile ceremonies and experience working on an environment where Agile practices were implemented

• Fluent in Lithuanian and English (spoken and written)

We offer a monthly base salary from 3463 to 5195 eur/month gross plus annual bonuses, depending on your competencies, your and Telia results. Additionally, each Telia Global Services Lithuania employee receives additional employee benefits package which includes:
