Tax Manager - International taxation

Outokumpu Group is looking for a Tax Manager with focus on international corporate income tax matters. Group Tax is part of Group Finance and facilities and ensures that the Outokumpu group’s taxes are carried out in a compliant and efficient manner. The position is based at any of our European sites (some travelling is required):
• Sweden (location flexible with some days per month in Avesta)
• Vilnius, Lithuania
• Krefeld, Germany

You would be reporting to the VP Group Tax and will work independently but in close corporation with the rest of the tax team and with managers at all levels from other functions in the group. Depending on the background of the applicant the Tax Manager will work as a CTR (Country Tax Responsible) for certain countries/region.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative and result oriented professional that is able and willing to be involved in a variety of finance and business-related projects.

Main responsibilities:

• Monitor tax matters in several countries, including tax advice to subsidiaries and managing / supervising contacts with local tax advisers
• Handle tax aspects in M&A and other projects
• Work together with Group Financial Control with the IFRS tax reporting
• Perform internal controls relating to tax
• Assist in tax audits and litigation processes
• Monitor and analyse current and proposed tax legislation and practice.
• Implement tax policies and processes and be part of the development in Tax Technology / digital transformation
• Train and guide the organisation regarding corporate income tax matters

About you:

• Degree in Finance with a comprehensive knowledge in international tax
• At least 5 years of work experience in tax consulting or in a Tax Manager position in an international company
• Good understanding of accounting, financial and business principles
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while being a team player
• Proactive, result driven with good analytical skills
• You are business and service minded, driven by business and change

Monthly salary range for this position: 4000 EUR – 4800 EUR (before tax deduction). The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate.
