Markets Post-Trade Services Tribe is responsible for all solutions relating to post trade processing of trades, from initial booking to end of life and covering all trade types from cash securities to advanced OTC and listed derivatives.

Markets Post-Trade Services Tribe has 130 employees on three locations in Denmark, Lithuania and India. The employees have tech, business or agile practices background. The tech employees report to the IT Lead.

Markets Post-Trade Services Tribe was formed in 2020 as part of Danske Bank’s transition to agile ways of working. The vision for Markets Post-Trade Services Tribe is to support each back office process in an independent business service to enable an attractive, resilient and effective platform. Each service is composed of micro services and exposing an API that bridges the business domains for trade and back office. The business process services will be integrated to front office systems using message based middleware. Additionally we use vendor-based solutions to drive complex processes that are market standard e.g. Corporate Actions. Our main objective is to transition from old technology to new while delivering on immediate business goals.

Skills

We are looking for a senior leader with a strategic mindset, who has a proven track-record of operating and driving large agile tech transformation, taking into account both organisational- and cultural aspects.

You have:

  • Technical lead experience with software engineer background who is able to balance vision, strategy, technology and business requirements.
  • Strong technical background – computer science, engineering or similar background with relevant experience from working with tech leadership in various roles.
  • Experience with both hands-on development/architecture design and tech leadership is an advantage, as we have a flat organisation in which leaders engage in discussions at many different levels.

You are a pragmatic team player who understands that alignment between different stakeholders in business is a prerequisite for success in this role. You have experience in building relationships with teams, peers, stakeholders and management.

Mission

You will be responsible for building a strong engineering culture that can support the business objectives of Danske Bank. You will work in partnership with colleagues across the value chain from Large Corporates & Institutions (business) to Wholesale Banking Services (operations) in order to develop the business through technology. You represent Danske Bank in relation to external stakeholders and decision makers in matters related to operational processes.

  • Engineering

We are looking for a strong engineer that can drive Markets Post-Trade Services Tribe through the engineering and organisational transformations that are needed to deliver first class customer service, efficient processes and agile solutions.

  • Team

You will be responsible for building a strong development organisation with an engineering-first mind-set. You will be part of designing and implementing the global workforce plan using the strengths of all available locations. It is critical for you to set the bar high, to set the right team and drive a performance culture.
