Senior Household Credit Officer will be joining the Credit Risk department which is a part of the Risk Division, thus being a control function and part of the second Line of defense. The Senior Household Credit Officer will have the responsibility to ensure high credit quality within Luminor’s Risk Appetite.
The role will be interactive to support business in lending activity and strengthen Risk culture in organization through taking active role in credit decision making process, competence building of Risk related topics in organization, review and improvement of internal Risk related procedures as well as processes maintaining compliance with external regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to credit competence building, which includes implementing training and educational measures and ensuring that the division always has sufficient expertise
- Ensure that country specific external requirements for responsible lending and consumer protection are incorporated in the credit requirements
- Participate in credit decision making process through credit committees and based on personal powers to act
- Consult Household Business area in terms of credit policy and credit procedures
- Partake in the development of credit strategies and sharing responsibility for ensuring bank adherence to them
- Participate in updates of credit manuals, guidelines and other relevant documents for Household customers
- Identify warning signals in real estate market, financial sector or macro economy and react proactively to initiate processes with aim to reduce risks for Bank, related to mortgage/consumer financing
- Look for ways to optimize credit processes and risk management methods
Skills and experience:
- Higher education in Finance, Business Economics or similar field
- Good understanding of underlying household credit processes
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, industries and operating environment
- Excellent Lithuanian and advanced English language skills (written and verbal)
- Strong in problem solving, superior analytical skills and ability to make independent decisions with sound and objective arguments
- Time management, high commitment to achieve results and meet set goals
- Strong relationship building capabilities towards business areas and other stakeholders
- High ethical standards, objectivity and acting independence in mind, avoiding any conflict of interest
