Cloud Architect – Development / Automations

Outokumpu is looking for an experienced Cloud Architect – Development / Automations to join our Public Cloud Services team in any of company’s business locations in Europe. In this role you will be representing Public Cloud through evangelism, onboarding, documentation, and support, continuously enhancing the overall security posture.

This is a hybrid role that includes both technical work and consulting the business team on how to design cloud applications for optimal scaling. You will be providing guidance to developers (third party) who support us in writing the application code, aligning them to best practices and essential standards.

On the technical side, you will be working with cloud computing systems, developing next generation products and applications on cloud technologies, and determining how the systems should operate. A significant part of your work will be focused on defining and improving continuous integration, delivery, and deployment processes.

About you

You have strong problem-solving skills and are able to prioritize which makes you feel comfortable in the dynamic work environment. We also expect that you are a self-driven person who can act without being prompted or closely supervised. And finally, great teamwork and communication is also something you would not imagine your work without.

Your technical skills

• Hands-on experience with cloud providers, particularly Azure (AWS, Google and/or others is a plus)
• Experience of IT operations in an always-up and available service (ITIL, DevOps, Agile principles)
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps practices (infrastructure as a code, delivery pipelines)
• CI/CD tools as Azure DevOps
• Version control: Git
• Configuration management tools (native Azure, Terraform preferably)
• Background in Linux/ Windows administration, AD policies, IAM
• Scripting (PowerShell)
• Technical knowledge in networking
• Technical knowledge in databases (OnPrem and Cloud versions of PostgreSQL, MSSQL)
• Experience with Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)

Practical information

• Location is flexible – Vilnius (Lithuania) / Helsinki or Tornio (Finland) / other European offices
• For qualified applicants from Lithuania but not from Vilnius: fully remote position is possible

• Languages: fluent English (no other languages required!)
• Monthly salary range for this position: 4500 EUR – 5500 EUR (before tax deduction). However, the final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate.
