UX DESIGNER

• Ideally 3+ years of experience in UX design role and/or an advanced degree;
• Experience in leading the work of others and mentoring junior team members;
• Degree in human-computer interaction, interaction design, user experience, or other related disciplines; a certification from an established user experience intensive “boot camp” program; or equivalent work experience;
• Portfolio showcasing a firm grasp on user-centered design processes, the use of research to drive design, and experience with relevant techniques and methodologies;
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills;
• Experience using tools such as Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, and InVision. We use Figma;
• Highly comfortable with uncertainty; you excel at using structured thinking and frameworks to tame ambiguity;
• Consulting with clients to understand their goals and explaining the process;
• Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator,other);
• Ability to apply UX methodologies and tools at all stages of design process, from definition of requirements, through low/mid fidelity wireframing, to pixel-perfect interactive mockups;
• Knowledge of the user research and usability testing processes, and the ability to use their insights to inform the design;
• Familiarity with the basics of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their limitations;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Eagerness and ability to learn and constantly improve your skills and knowledge of the intricacies of designing for the financial services industry and its users;
• Strong critical thinking ability — able to connect the dots / big picture;
• Strong work ethic and time management skills with dedication to meeting or exceeding expectations despite contending priorities;
• Ownership of the design process and ability make and execute design decisions in a small design team;
• excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written);
• have previous experience of working in cross-functional development team, as well as directly with client;
• are able to work with design systems, maintain them and create new UI components from scratch;
• open to share your knowledge with team mates during workshops, trainings and mentoring sessions.

• Lead projects through the major phases of a user-centered product development process;
• Partner with product owners, development leads, and other major stakeholders to define scopes and develop roadmaps;
• Organize user research to identify research question(s) and hypotheses;
• Participate in team development activities such as peer review, critique, ideation, and UX evangelism;
• Support with UX development paths for new and existing functionality across products;
• Transform ideas, business opportunities, research and creative vision into tangible experiences that provide clear, usable, useful, and desirable outcomes for users;
• Fully consume and become an expert on the design system by partnering with the team and providing influence on future needs;
• Skilled in creating wireframes, site maps, user journeys; detailing work including annotations, prototypes, functional specifications;
• Collaborate with key project team members, including product managers and developers to deliver end-to-end solutions;
