About Project

MatchSource supports NMDP’s core business customers and primary customer support team members in the identification, request management, tracking and acquisition of the best cell therapy source for the patients. Primary users are core business Transplant Centers (customers), Case Managers, Search Advocates and Immunogeneticists. It also provides information for a number of secondary users. MatchSource provides patient management, source search and matching, workflow management, case progress and order management tracking.

The project development is based on the following technologies:

• Java 11
• Spring Framework (Spring Data Jpa, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, Spring Security)
• Spring Boot 2
• Groovy and Spock Framework for unit/integration testing
• Flyway
• JMS
• Maven
• Docker
• Oracle DB

As a Java Developer you will

• provide clear, actionable and timely feedback to direct reports through regular one-on-ones
• conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with all direct reports
• conduct retrospectives after each sprint to identify key areas for improvement
• lead and mentor team members on technical best practices and standardized processes
• coordinate new functionality delivery (planning new features development, risk management)
• propose improvements to increase reliability of the product
• review pull requests and provide feedback
• perform requirements analysis to define possibility and way how to implement them.

We expect you

• have experience in commercial projects as a lead developer
• have strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
• are familiar with Agile methodologies
• have Strong experience using Java
• have strong SQL skills;
• have strong understanding of basic algorithms and data structures
• have experience using Spock framework (advantage)
• have Docker experience (advantage)
• have strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• have proven knowledge of commonly used software concepts, practices and methodologies.
