As our new Business Data Analyst you will be responsible for addressing a diverse and challenging range of problems to help us make better business decisions at Oxylabs.io. You will work with multiple teams internally (product, performance marketing, growth, strategy, sales) in order to support their growth, to provide business trend analysis and actionable insights, to define key metrics and help them identify revenue opportunities. This role is a great opportunity for an Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to learn new technologies.
Our tech stack*
– Google Cloud Platform (GCS, BQ) for storage and warehousing;
– dbt and SQL for data modelling;
– Python for automation;
– Jupyter for ad-hoc analysis;
– PowerBI/Grafana for data visualisation;
– Airflow for orchestration.
*We do not expect candidates to master or know all of these technologies today.
What you will do:
- Build a solid understanding of the relationships between the behaviour of our customers and our growth drivers through data analysis and modelling;
- Provide key stakeholders across the business with self-service dashboards for real-time understanding of the metrics you have created, using PowerBI;
- Use analytical tools (SQL, Excel) to analyze and prepare data to support decision making;
- Identify new research areas that should be pursued and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders;
- Carry out ad-hoc analysis related to stakeholder questions with a strong commercial focus and translate results into a compelling narrative.
What We Expect:
- 2+ years of experience working with business leaders and strategy stakeholders in a previous analytical or consulting role;
- Knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets where some of your exploratory analysis will take place;
- Experience building effective, easy-to-navigate dashboards with PowerBI (or other tools such as Tableau, Qlik Sense, Looker);
- Experience manipulating and analyzing data using SQL is a huge plus;
- You’re a problem solver at heart and a team player;
- You’re pragmatic and impact-focused: you will choose Excel over Python if it is a better solution for the problem and vice-versa;
- You’re commercially aware and user-focused - able to understand needs and identify priorities to unlock business value through analytics;
- You’re excellent at communicating in both written and spoken English.
