What you will do:
- Grow multiple teams of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, inspiring, feedback, and hands-on personal career development;
- Directly manage and mentor our engineering leadership team;
- Help to estimate project scope and costs;
- Together with our lead product manager you will find and eliminate delivery roadblocks;
- Together with our management, you will create new autonomous engineering units (squads);
- Help with prioritization on business vs system stability objectives;
- Propose improvements to quality, security, performance, usability workflows, processes that influence the performance of the squads, and quality of the product;
- Ensure effective information flow throughout the organization (effective up-and-down Communication);
- Help engineering teams with choosing the right processes and technologies to do the right task.
What we expect:
- Professional experience in directly managing managers;
- Professional experience in managing engineering teams;
- Professional experience as a software engineer;
- Professional experience with testing methodologies (Unit, Integration, E2E, happy-path);
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal;
- Comfort working in a highly agile software development process.
Nice to have:
- Experience building backend systems using NodeJs and database integrations;
- Experience with Kafka or other message brokers;
- Experience building microservices oriented solutions;
- Experience building full-stack applications;
- Experience working with Docker.
