We are inviting a Senior Financial Reporting & Accounting (FRA) Specialist Baltics to join the team in Vilnius and act as a key point of contact for the Sandoz Baltic, Global/ Regional FRA and tax stakeholders in a scope of financial reporting and control, accounting and tax compliance activities.

Your key responsibilities:


Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ensure efficient processes are in place for preparation, filing and archiving of tax related documents.
• Communicate and cooperate with key stakeholders to ensure integration, efficiency/ effectiveness of accounting, statutory reporting and tax compliance delivery across Baltics. Liaison with stakeholders, incl. CFOs, Tax Team, 3rd party tax compliance, accounting& reporting service providers, state authorities.
• Manage relevant tax returns as per requirements, incl. CIT, WHT, VAT returns, other tax returns (incl. honoraria, fringe benefit) and statutory accounts for Sandoz Baltic Branches. Ensure tax obligations are paid timely and tax balances are followed-up.
• Manage, streamline the provision of information to Tax compliance service provider’s, audit, internal individuals and external authorities.
• Take leadership of the Tax Operational requirements across Baltics, support systems and processes are updated based on Tax regulation changes, communicate the changes to relevant teams and monitor execution.
• Build awareness relating to tax risks and opportunities.
• Execute internal financial controls under Baltic FRA and tax responsibility for the Baltic branches in accordance with Novartis financial control framework;
• Facilitate (or manage where relevant) implementation of the guidelines/policies, including training, preparation of training, process materials.
• Coordinate, manage preparation of regular and ad-hoc reporting of financial, control and tax data.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• University Degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Audit/ Business
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written), local language(s) as an advantage
• +3 years experience across Tax, Financial reporting and accounting, experience working in pharma industry and/or professional services will be an advantage
• Experience in managing communication with tax authorities, multiple senior stakeholders
• Experience in operating tax reporting, accounting and control systems, SAP system
• Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly present financial and tax information
