As a Senior Back-End Developer, you'll use the hybrid work model to work alongside the CTO and Development team in providing solutions to compound business processes from strategy to execution. You will be one of the main contributors in an environment where people and technology thrive together, effectively deal with complex situations and use your experience to build a strong technical team.

The position is open to Ukrainian refugees and the company offers to reimburse accommodation costs in Lithuania up to 6 months and provide any necessary assistance.

What you'll do

Identify, create and apply software development and security processes
Plan software development projects, ensure a test-driven approach and that appropriate development methods and life cycles are selected
Develop software components - from planning and confirming their value to verification and documenting
Design successful technical/integration architectures for large-scale platforms with a mix of 3rd party vendor, open-source, custom software, including the documentation of technical assumptions and decisions
Implement & apply appropriate recovery and change control techniques to software development practices
Use peer review methods such as pair programming
Resolve operational problems with software and fix bugs

Your responsibilities will include

Designing, coding, verifying, testing, documenting, amending, and refactoring complex programs/scripts and integration software services
Planning and leading software construction activities for strategic, large and complex development projects
Being responsible across all stages and iterations of software development, planning and driving software construction
Contributing to the selection of methods, tools and techniques used and making sure that agreed standards, including software security, are applied throughout the team to achieve well-engineered outcomes
Contributing to the development of organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for software development, construction and refactoring
Driving adoption of new methods, organizational capabilities, policies and standards
Reviewing your team’s work

Knowledge & skills we are looking for

5 or more years of professional experience, Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field would be an advantage
Excellent leadership, communication, planning and managing skills
Ability to work in an environment that leverages project management skills like planning and tracking, issue and risk management, multitasking, team organization, and activity prioritization
Utilizing event-driven/microservices in mobile/web tech stacks, making them Cloud-ready to be deployed on Azure Cloud (Docker, Kubernetes) via CI/CD Azure DevOps
Utilizing C#, .NET, OAuth 2.0
Utilizing Messaging framework (Azure Service Bus preferred; Kafka, Apache Pulsar)
Unit testing using JUnit, nUnit or MOQ and related tools
Utilizing Polyglot Persistence including RDBMS (MSSQL; MySQL, Postgres) and NoSQL (Mongo, Neo4j, Cassandra) data stores and appropriate use cases
Utilizing rapid-prototyping workflows and development tools, familiarity with Agile
