Description

Financial Risk unit within Risk Lithuania quantifies, analyses, reports and communicates financial risks to protect Swedbank against losses from unintentional or undue risk taking.

Financial risks area has many exciting challenges ahead due to expanding business and regulatory demands, which opens unique opportunity to create an improved environment for risk analysis, steering and control for the financial risks.

In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:

  • Analyse and prepare regular risk reports to stakeholders - local Management Boards, business units (Markets/Treasury), etc.;
  • Present and communicate financial risk profile and risk developments to internal and external stakeholders, such as regulators, external audit etc.
  • Be involved in the risk steering, for example regular reviews of limits, policies and instructions;
  • Coordinate quarterly Market risk stress-test (incl. analysis, data collection and presentation to the stakeholders);
  • Contribute to the tasks related to Capital Risks, including the Pillar 3 reporting and analysis;
  • Be involved in implementation and development of risk framework documentation (policies, instructions, process descriptions, etc.);
  • Challenge the business with proactive thinking and discussions regarding risk;
  • Be involved or drive different investigations or ad-hoc questions;
  • Improve the culture and knowledge of risk in the business through communication and education regarding financial risks;
  • Have close cooperation with other departments within Risk, Group Risk, business areas and local management;

In this position you are expected also to work with our cross-border team in Baltics and in the Group.

What is needed in this role:

  • Keen interest in financial markets;
  • An academic degree within finance, mathematics, and/or engineering;
  • Experience from working within the financial industry;
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Very good knowledge in written and spoken English;
  • Good knowledge of financial markets products & governing regulations (CRR, EBA Guidelines etc);
  • Advanced skills in MS Office software;
  • Experience from VBA or SQL is meriting.
