Quality Assurance Engineer (Automation)

This is a greenfield project with lots of opportunities. As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer you will guide the design and implementation of our project’s testing strategy.

Promote product quality throughout all the SDLC stages including supporting continuous deployment by designing and implementing testing strategies and frameworks
Write, align and validate acceptance tests and scenarios for deliverables as well as coordinate and perform exploratory and regression testing where appropriate
Write and automate functional tests using Cypress (JS/TS), K6, Postman. 
Write and automate various non-functional tests (e.g. scalability, performance, stress, soak, load tests)
Absorb domain knowledge with the help of local gurus
Participate as an active member of an agile Scrum team by refining and estimating user stories, planning sprints, daily stand-ups and retrospectives
Share ideas and contribute to automation efforts within the team and across Revel
Mentor and assist other developers on the team in creating automated tests
Communicate and pair program with other developers and QAs

Have proven knowledge in implementing and sometimes architecting test automation frameworks and models
Have hands-on test engineering experience ranging from manual to automated test tools 
Have a good understanding of the SDLC process and its application with CI/CD tools
Have some programming experience, preferably with SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python or any other language
Are well versed in testing large scale applications
Are fluent in English as we have colleagues from around the world
Are a holder of a relevant university degree or have test engineering work experience
Have a proactive approach allowing you to mitigate impediments and learn from our talented colleagues

As a quality assurance automation engineer you will contribute to our project’s test automation strategy, currently we are using:

Quality in everything we do. We ensure quality with a range of tools and techniques. These include code reviews, peer programming, CI pipelines and tests. We write robust automated tests for every piece of code we craft using appropriate combinations of unit, integration, performance tests, etc. We release code using automated pipelines that support continuous delivery. We monitor our processes, diagnose, alert and keep statuses in check. We are always working to evolve these processes.
