De civitate, UAB helps its clients to restore Lithuanian citizenship by heritage. The majority of our clients are from Australia, Canada, the USA, South Africa, and Brazil.

Additional information

The Migration Lawyer will help foreigners of Lithuanian descent to restore Lithuanian citizenship as well as help preparing documents for residence permits

Tasks:

Tasks are guiding the clients from start to finish when applying for Lithuanian citizenship and residence permits:
Advising clients on their eligibility to get Lithuanian citizenship,
Preparing application forms for restoring Lithuanian citizenship by heritage,
Consulting clients regarding which documents they need to submit an application procedure,
Submitting requests to state and historic archives to retrieve necessary documents that prove citizenship,
Submitting documents and application to the Migration Department on behalf of the client,
Accompanying clients to the Migration Department to submit applications when it is needed.

Requirements:

Fluency in English (and Lithuanian) – outstanding verbal and written skills,
Bachelor or master’s degree in law,
Attention to detail and independent decision-making,
At least 2 years of work experience,
Interest in migration law,
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word),
Knowledge of Russian would be an advantage.
It might be a part-time position (~20 hours per week) or it can be a full-time job. In case it is a part-time position, it can be a remote position that is easy to combine with another job (for example in the public sector). In case it is a full-time position –it will require work from the office.
