Better requires process discipline and simplification

As an Information Security Engineer, you will be an essential part of the Cyber Defense Network Security team focusing on cloud network security governance. AWS is the primary cloud solution used, followed by GCP. The Engineer will employ technical security skills to design, build, consult and monitor network segmentation in the cloud, respond to escalated security alerts and provide security consultation and expertise for the technology teams and business. 

You will be the escalation point for network segmentation events and will perform advanced security system maintenance and troubleshooting tasks. You will review escalated security system alerts and logs, correlate those into attack patterns and create action plans. You will perform protection security system architecture review, review and tune security system rule sets, aid in the research of next-generation security issues, and 0-day attacks, and provide input on strategy for future security infrastructure and tools.

You will have the ability to work independently, take ownership of multiple tasks, and serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Network Security tools and processes.  You will need experience with security systems: AWS security tools, SIEM, proxy, IPS/IDS, DDoS protection, WAF, DAM, as well as experience in networking (TCP/IP, reading network packets, network technologies, and perimeter protection), Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory and LDAP.

You must be a strong team player with a desire to cross-train and learn from others, be highly adaptable to shifting priorities and ad hoc critical remediation scenarios and have strong communication skills.

The monthly gross base salary range is 3555 – 6047 EUR. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies.
