Front-End Developer

Our client is a one-of-a-kind non-profit with the mission of modernizing and accelerating the pathway for bringing new therapeutics to patients around the globe. Founded in 2020 by an industry consortium of leading pharmaceutical companies, our client is developing a SaaS platform that will radically transform how industry and health authorities work together to bring forth safe, effective treatments to more people, faster.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (SSE) to lead development of frontend UI services and infrastructure. The SSE/Frontend will participate in efforts to develop React single-page application to deliver secure collaboration and analytics platform. You will participate in the development of the platform and help scope development efforts and technical approach for optimal execution speed. As a senior developer, you will participate in the development of detailed designs for critical requirements and participate in their development. You will develop key components of our system, and mentor less experienced developers.

• collaborate with multiple teams to help design, interpret, and scope requirements, with focus on technical approach, time-to-market and feasibility
• develop software services to meet the requirements of the platform
• participate, and often lead, design and code reviews and feature demonstrations
• provide expertise in delivery of cloud services, especially for Google Cloud
• stay current with leading technologies that can help optimally deliver the
platform
• develop unit tests and test automation and support acceptance testing
• deliver features as commitments dictate, in line with our security and coding standards
and best practices
• participate in the on-call rotation as needed

• have 5+ years developing web-based UIs for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products
• have BS in CompSci or related technical degree, or 10+ years of relevant experience
• have experience in developing single-page web apps with React.js and Typescript/Javascript
• have experience creating and maintaining a component library using tools like Storybook
• have experience with the web application development ecosystem (libraries like Lodash,
• Immutable, and build tools like WebPack, Parcel, Babel)
• have experience with integrating REST APIs and informing their development
• are expert in web authorization and authentication, JSON Web Tokens, etc.
• have experience incorporating and using monitoring tools like New Relic and Datadog
• have experience with Agile development processes, preferably using Atlassian tools
• Cloud architectures, especially Google Cloud, and Cloud-First development practices
• have experience with data modeling and data persistence technologies
• are excellent written and oral English communication skills
• have experience collaborating with software engineers at all experience levels
• have experience deploying with modern CI/CD tools: Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab
