You will join the Data Science team within the Risk Analytics Department and take an active part in designing, developing and improving the emerging risk models and other advanced analytical solutions in the risk area.

One of our top priorities in the team is the development of ESG rating models for legal entities and private individuals.

These rating models take into account environmental, social and governance factors in estimating the physical and transitional risks of the borrowers. They are emerging and challenging, but already a non-negotiable part of the current financial landscape and their development requires outside-the-box thinking, curiosity and excellent research skills.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop, improve, and monitor different risk models and other predictive analytical solutions, initially – with the focus on the ESG rating models
  • Make a research of new modelling methodologies and help to improve the current solutions
  • Identify and implement the new model attributes and data sources
  • Work with business analysts and engineers to select the appropriate data sets and data representation methods
  • Improve the design of current models via process automatization
  • Maintain relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of new models and analytical initiatives
  • Communicate and present the results, findings and detailed technical information in a simple and concise manner

     

    What We Expect:

    • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, statistics or other relevant field
    • 2–3-year experience in modelling, data science and data analysis
    • Excellent research skills – ability to collect, read and summarize large volumes of information and transform the knowledge into actionable advice and models
    • Demonstrated history of taking a part in delivering complicated models / business solutions
    • Good knowledge of applied statistics, mathematical modelling and data science concepts (estimation of probability, time series, regression, classification, model accuracy estimation, optimization, neural networks, decision trees, etc.)
    • Knowledge of SQL and data preparation techniques
    • Good knowledge and practical experience in Python or R, and ability to write a clean and readable code
    • Experience in banking, fintech, lending or financial services is desirable but not mandatory
    • Knowledge of ESG, climate risks, sustainability, credit risks is strongly desirable but not mandatory
    • Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken, ability to present the ideas and results in a concise manner
