DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Our client is the market leader in contact center robotic process automation (RPA) and provides a patented AI powered automation platform for onsite and remote customer service and back-office teams. The DevOps Deployment Engineer will be responsible for installing and upgrading Company’s application in a hosted environment. The role is part of a team of technical experts that runs and manages application and infrastructure operations for the Company’s clients.
The project is based on the following technologies
• Inventory: AWS, Rackspace dedicated servers, VM
• Network/Security: Big5, Cisco
• OS: Linux/Windows, RedHat/CentOS
• Databases: MariaDB, SQL Server
• Cache: Redis
• Monitoring: Nimsoft, Prometheus+Thanos, Grafana, Alertmanager, Site24/7
• CI: Git, Jenkins, Jenkinsfile, Gerrit, Bitbucket, Maven, Nexus
• CD: Git, Ansible
• Language: .NET, Java, Spring Cloud

• Develop and implement strategy to auto-deploy product releases, hot fixes, and service packs
• Recommend process improvements to ensure system scalability and reliability
• Develop and implement deployment plans
• Work with QA teams to deploy and troubleshoot the product software
• Analyze and troubleshoot deployment issues in a timely manner
• Serve as primary customer contact for high priority deployment related inquiries and issues
• Conduct all business in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned

• 3 to 7 years of experience as DevOps Engineer
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Strong written/verbal English skills
• Strong scripting and deployment automation background in a continuous integration (CI) environment
• Knowledge of system level and integration level testing
• Strong quality assurance background
• Proficiency in specifying and implementing testing and production environment infrastructure
• An Engineering mindset – focused on designing, implementing and improving processes and technology
• Strong Windows and Linux skills, to be successful, you must be very comfortable on a Linux server and able to easily navigate around
• Ability to operate effectively within ambiguous environments and view novel situations as challenges rather than as stressors.
