You will be acting as a Network Service owner. You will be directing IT personnel and teams to ensure that an organizations computer systems and networks remain secure and reliable throughout the day. In this role, you will be ultimately responsible for managing the use of wide area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs), and organization-specific networks. You should take a high-level overview of information technology needs while managing teams that maintain computer networks, monitor network availability, and collect data to enhance security and reliability.

In this role you primarily will be working on server-side maintenance and deployment tasks while directing teams and specialists that provide user support. As Network Service Owner you will be balancing technical knowledge with network and data infrastructure management.

Key functions of the role:

• Ensure Network service reliability by participation in incident root cause analysis and continuous service improvement to achieve that.
• Continuous network availability improvement.
• Network capacity planning and building roadmap of the service to comply with changing business needs.
• Participation in new services architecture creation and definition of requirements from responsibility area.
• Network service DR plan creation and regular test planning and execution.
• Service monitoring and alerting specification.
• Maintenance plan creation and planning of execution.
• Implementation of best network security practices.
• Knowledge transfer to colleagues (mainly lvl1 support).
• External resource involvement, task handover, result and quality assurance.

Experience which is required to be successful network service owner in RIMI:

• Underlay and overlay networking knowledge.
• Network segmentation.
• Network fundamentals of switching, routing, VPN, protocols such as IPv4, TCP, UDP, ARP, STP, DHCP, BGP, VRF.
• Physical and virtual network equipment configuration LAN, WAN and Wireless.
• Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) technology.
• 802.1x authentication.
• Aruba networking (APs, switches, Airwave) and security products (ClearPass).
• Firewalls (Palo alto, Fortinet, Check Point).
• WAF (F5).
• Monitoring (Zabbix).
• Cloud Networking (treated as benefit).

Other important things:

• English language (written and spoken).
• Readiness to travel mostly within Baltic countries.
• On duty as a level 3 support.
