About the role

As part of the COO Office, the Operations Business Controller oversees and coordinates the business and financial activities of the Global Operations function and is responsible for tracking of and reporting on Operations' financial performance across markets and global Operations. The role is reporting directly to the COO Office Director.

Purpose of the role

The purpose of the role is to have the overall overview of economic and financial activities and performances across Operations, ensuring that the function meets its performance targets. The role serves as adviser to the Operations Management team regarding business and financial aspects of decisions making, budgeting and performance
management.

Your key responsibility will be

Manage the hub of Operations dedicated to business controlling
and reporting activities
* Support the Global Operations organisation in delivering against the
financial objectives set by Global
* Develop and drive continuous improvement of KPIs within the
Global Operations organisation and the monitoring, reporting and
management of KPIs
* Oversee the internal communication of KPIs
* Manage reporting on global KPIs on Operations
* Report and follow-up on Operations P&L and budget towards
Group Finance and Global Business Controlling
* Conduct business controlling activities across Global Operations
incl. manage budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, business
review and follow-up activities across the different Operations
entities globally and in markets
* Coordinate pricing / internal cost model in liaison with Operations
leadership and key stakeholders of other relevant functions like
CMS, Finance, IT
* Provide effective leadership and guidance to Market and Global
Operations to drive performance
* Communicate and develop strong relationships with key
stakeholders across functions to achieve strategic objectives
* Actively promote employee engagement and drive Intrum's
employee value proposition
* Continuously review and improve existing frameworks and
structures, promoting and prioritising optimisation
* Work closely with Global Operations leadership team to proactive
manage the business and financial performance of Operations
across global and markets
* Ensure policies are kept relevant and communicated effectively to
all relevant markets
* Provide valuable strategic insight to senior management to allow for
an accurate view of the function / market and future objectives

Your qualifications

We think you have

* 3-4 years of relevant experience within financial controlling or accounting

* Knowledge of the collections business and operational excellence

* Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring skills

* Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics, with good judgment and ability to manage competing priorities

* Good communication and presentation skills

* Expert knowledge and experience within financial -analysis, -planning processes and reporting rules and methodologies

* Deep knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint, and preferably Cognos, QlikView and Clicksence

Salary range: 3500 - 4500 EUR gross
