• work with the Management team and ensure that the underwriting function complies with the goals, objectives and standards of  #Balcia and meets customer satisfaction
• develop, improve and implement guidelines for the underwriting function and analytical processes
• carry out assessments of large and non-standard risks, setting underwriting conditions and premiums
• draw up quotes for competitive insurance premiums for major contracts
• perform screening of risk processes in the company
• ensure that all decisions meet legal, compliance and policy requirements
• negotiate and define the specific terms of insurance policies with partners and clients
• keep detailed records of policies underwritten and decisions made

• 5+ years of insurance underwriting experience (experience in high-quality development, administration and control of insurance products)
• Ability to analyze market information, develop and implement strategies and tactics for underwriting products
• Knowledge of insurance products and ability to be responsible for compliance with all requirements and rules related to entering into contracts
• Ability to manage activities and cooperation aimed at introducing products in the market and meeting objectives
• Hands-on experience with various risk assessment methods, analytical tools, and statistical packages (spreadsheets, SPSS, databases, etc.)
• Proven numeracy and statistical skills
• Insurance product competence (in Commercial Property or General Civil Liability)
• Advanced verbal and written English Language skills

NICE TO HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, actuarial science, finance, business law or accounting
