Job description
Currently, the company is looking for one of the key Executive Management roles, Business Development Director, to join the team and lead the development of the main business area - transportation and logistics services.
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Develop and execute a business development strategy and plan for international cargo transportation and forwarding in Western Europe;
- Ensure profitability and growth plans across all businesses in the area;
- Identify new markets or develop large-scale strategic business opportunities;
- Understand the business environment and develop strategies to outperform the competition;
- Participating in group decision-making processes.
Requirements
- Solid experience across Transport and Logistics with a proven track record in business development;
- Successful history of building new businesses and strategic future plans (entering new market, introducing new products or services);
- Senior management and leadership experience;
- Ability to react quickly to market changes and make decisions;
- Results-driven and process optimization-oriented personality;
- Excellent knowledge of English and Russian languages – both written and spoken (additional German language would be considered as an advantage).
