We are looking for a colleague who would join our Ignitis Renewables team and play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing engineering activities related to offshore projects. This position will encompass leading a team of engineers, coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving the successful execution of offshore engineering projects. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Together with Lead Engineering Manager developing and implementing engineering strategies related to offshore wind farm projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risk assessment, and quality control
- Providing technical guidance and expertise within the engineering function with primary focus but not limited to site investigations and metocean studies
- Providing a day-to-day leadership to a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Serving as the primary point of contact for internal/external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project requirements
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices for offshore engineering projects
- Collaborating with procurement and legal teams to negotiate contracts, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes, methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization, ensuring compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulations.
Required for this position:
- Bachelor or higher degree in electrical, civil engineering or other related field
- 5 years of experience in offshore engineering projects, particularly in offshore wind sector
- Experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing technical guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Experience in planning and executing site investigation and other site characterization scopes
- Skills at evaluating options and finding solutions
- Demonstrated a 'can do' attitude and ability to problem solve within a complex matrix organization.
