Job description
- Act as a key GL team member of the assigned scope of countries while driving the resolution of complex queries and requests.
- Guide the stakeholders (AR, AP, local organization, etc.) on accounting-related questions.
- Deliver Month End Close procedures including Fixed Assets activities.
- Calculate and post various journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, payroll journals, etc.
- Deliver IFRS16 reporting of assigned entities.
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations as assigned.
- Prepare VAT reporting and any other assigned local Tax or Statistical reporting.
- Assist with local Statutory Financial Statements preparation or own its preparation.
- Assist with the annual audit process.
- Investigate & analyze accounting ERP-related process flow issues following find it-fix it-solve its approach.
- Analyze financial data and make recommendations for accounting issues & controls.
- Deliver service according to company policies and procedures.
- With the team, ensure that our services are compliant, and always work on refining best practices and policies.
- Perform and deliver high-quality work defined by relevant and agreed KPIs.
- Implement initiatives for improving the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the GL transaction processing.
- Participate in the overall Continuous Improvement culture development.
Requirements
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).
- Advanced accounting ERP process flow understanding (IFS preferred).
- Understanding of Tax regulations & reporting.
- Scandinavian languages are considered as an advantage.
- Self-disciplined with ability to work with deadlines and accuracy.
- 3+ years of practical business experience in accounting operations (Service Center environment is an advantage).
- Business proficient English both written and spoken.
